ChinaBounder Weekender - The State of China’s Panties (or ‘Do NOT Read the Panties’)

I have a friend who believes it’s important for a husband or boyfriend to always know what color “his woman’s” panties are. Every day he tries to guess what color panties his girlfriend is wearing, and then checks. He figures if he doesn’t know, then maybe some other guy will.

Do you know the colour of your love mate’s panties? More importantly, do you know what’s written on your wife or girlfriend’s panties?

Huh?

Well, it’s linked to another question I’m often asked -- am I making any money from this blog? Why don’t I plaster it with Google Ad-Sense ads, just like all the other blogs? That’s not for me. The blog’s not about making money (or just making love for that matter). And neither is my daily presentation of ‘Fault Lines’ to do with money.

But now I hear others are making money out of ‘ChinaBounder’ – and in a rather inventive way.

Now the way I see it, most commercialism in China, though aggressive, lacks inventiveness. It’s all a matter of copying. If any product or service is successful, it gets copied. For most Chinese ‘entrepreneurs’ the way to make money is to follow the crowd, rather than to cut your own path. That’s part of the reason why China has invented jack shit in the last few centuries.

Yet sometimes you can still see that spark of ancient inventiveness.

This is why I ask, Do you know what’s written on your woman’s panties?

I have recently received word from three different, slightly depressed Chinese men that there is free market exploitation of their women’s crotches going on, right underneath their noses.

One case of ‘ChinaBounder was here!,’ and two cases of ‘ChinaBounder was here – not!’ have been seen so far as reported to me.

Yep, that’s right. Some bright Chinese biz sparky has started up a line of lingerie emblazoned with my name. I guess the idea is a dick-up or dick-down for ChinaBounder. I could suggest a few more designs – maybe ‘ChinaBounder welcome here!’ or ‘Are you as good/big/cocky as ChinaBounder?’ Perhaps they will appear in the next series of designs.

Half, I want to be pissed off. Where’s my cut? Where’s my end? After all, ‘my’ brand has been stolen. And maybe my name too, since how many foreign guys, undressing a woman and seeing that underwear, will say, ‘Hey babe thanks for wearing my underwear…. I’m ChinaBounder’? Give me money or give me pussy.

Half, I am rather flattered. Cool. My name on thousands of pairs of panties closely held between the thighs of luscious Chinese women. That’s where I want to be.

Whatever the more irate of my Chinese readers say about ‘foreigners taking our women,’ the fact is that many women desire just that – they want to meet rogues and scoundrels. And while in public many women may be scornful of me and people like me, the fact is, in private – well, they lay aside that opinion as easily as they lay aside their clothes.

And I certainly hope that these new panties come as thongs or T-Backs not matronlies. It seems there’s a whole legion of young Chinese women who wear the kind of underwear their grandmothers use – baggy, shapeless, dull-colored. You know….Cultural Revolution issue smalls!

Luckily for us cads, as China is expanding its world economic status, China’s women are changing, beginning not only to realize how much guys like sexy panties, but also that dressing sexy simply for the sake of dressing sexy is cool. No need to have a guy in mind – sexy panties are their own justification.

As I have mentioned in the previous more salacious entries of this blog, items of lingerie linger long in my memory.

More recently I was wondering what kind of panties Chinese policewomen wear. After all, when one is under arrest, in a Shanghai police station, (a story to be told later) one’s mind can drift in such a direction. Among all the chain-smoking fuzz guys, their endless questions and rather obvious good-cop bad-cop routines, the women coppers were the only thing worth thinking about.

Do they wear the standard shapeless panties or something silky, something slinky? A thong! Imagine that I thought, perilously close to insanity – government-issued thong underwear for all its female officers!

I for one, having known this before, would have freely submitted myself for interrogation long ago.

I can well imagine Zhang Jiehai telling the male students in his class, ‘If you see any writing on any panties, do NOT READ the panties.’ Now, in my mind’s eye I am thinking, how can his students effect this? Lower the woman’s skirt and walk away? Tear the panties off quickly? Or, what I prefer, flip the girl over quickly and look at the pure, blank backside, and then slowly peel the panties down until the two crescent moons appear….
